Hello, thank you for choosing to visit my web site. I have been a reserve deputy for the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office for a few years now. Our reserve force is made up of business owners, college students, laborers, and various others from all walks of life. What all these people have in common is that they all are willing to give a small part of their time every month to their community. Since we are an all volunteer force, we do not receive any pay for our time and services. Some of you may ask, then why do we do it? Well, I don't know about the others; but I do it because I feel like I'm helping out somehow. Pretty cheesy isn't it?
Oh well, let me get to my real reason for this site. Do to the limited funding to our reserve division we must ask for donations or have fund raisers. Right now and through the end of May we will be having a raffle. The money raised will be used to help our new reserve deputies get bullet proof vests. Our last raffle was very successful and it helped me get the vest I wear whenever I put on the uniform and badge.
